As of the Windows 10 version of OneNote, Microsoft has removed the ability to share a single page. You can, however, share the entire notebook (Windows 10 or OneNote 2016) or a just a snapshot of a single page (Windows 10). When OneNote for Mac launched I was thrilled. Being able to use my ubiquitous collection and note taking tool at home through a native app was going to be great I thought. But what Microsoft delivered isn’t perfect. Stronghold legends mac.
Pros:
Syncing. It works and works well. For my main notebook I sync to a file that is stored on OneDrive (the renamed SkyDrive). This should be a no brainer but I’m always leery and expect the worst. Let’s be honest – Apple doesn’t make things easy and Microsoft is one of their main competitors. But I haven’t had any problems and the synchronization works well, usually everything is up to date from edits I’ve made on my tablet to the Mac in under 5 minutes.
Consistency of experience. OneNote looks and works similar to the web version and the Windows versions. There is no learning curve here.

Cons:
Slow to start up. I’ve seen this comment on other sites and I’ll confirm it – OneNote takes a while to start up. I’m not sure what the issue is, but it’s laggy. Not horribly so, but you do notice it.
Some features are missing. For blogging the one feature I find I’m missing is the ability to save screenshots as a file on my computer. My workflow has always been to capture a screenshot in OneNote, write the blog post in OneNote with the screenshots imbedded then copy it into WordPress. But you need to have the screenshots as a separate file. On the Mac OneNote doesn’t have that export capability. Boo!

That’s what I’ve found over the last three weeks. Overall I’d give it a B, if it had the export capability it would be a solid A-.
